We,
an association of persons
commonly interested in amateur radio, constitute ourselves the Whitley
County Amateur Radio Club, Inc., an Indiana corporation.
We
have organized to further the exchange of information and cooperation
between members, to promote radio knowledge and individual operating
efficiency and to so conduct club programs as to advance the general
interest and capability of amateur radio in the community
The primary
purposes of our organization is:
To operate a
non-profit corporation for educational
and scientific purposes and to promote the
science of amateur radio communication by educating and increasing the
proficiency of its members.
To provide for dissemination
of information
among its members concerning scientific advancement and progress in the
field of amateur radio communications.
To organize and
train licensed radio amateurs capable of maintaining radio
communications as a public service to other non-profit
organizations and to local,
state and national
government agencies
in time of emergency.
To provide a
means by which amateur radio operators can collectively participate in
experimental activities in radio communication and electronics, to the
end that skills and experience gained will further the application of
electronics to the benefit of the public at large.
To promote the Federal
Communication
Comission’s rules and regulations governing the conduct of
amateur radio communications.
To assist in carrying out
these primary
purposes, this organization intends to maintain an active affiliation
with the American
Radio Relay League,
Inc., of Newington , Connecticut , the national
non-profit
organization of radio
amateurs.
